Transition to Employment Program
The School to Work Transition Program provides career education and vocational training for Delta students. Off-campus training programs teach students about the world of work through actual exposure in the work place. Several off-campus training locations include an area hospital, a thrift shop and several nursing homes where students perform related functions and activities.
In addition to off-campus training, students learn in school the skills needed to succeed in the workplace. These skills include: employee expectations, effective communication on the job, career planning, job applications and interviews, and income management.
